Updated Covid guidance for museums

As restrictions lift on 19 July, we are all adapting to different circumstances again.

The National Museum Directors Council has updated its Covid guidance to reflect these changes: Nmdc Good Practice Guidelines For Reopening Museums – National Museum Directors’ Council Website (nationalmuseums.org.uk)

  • Page 9: Altered to reflect that recording of data for NHS Test & Trace is no longer mandatory
  • Pages 12 and 13: Several changes have been made to guidance on reducing risks in the workplace, including with regards to working from home and vulnerable workers.
  • Pages 16 and 17 have been updated to reflect changes to Government policy on social distancing.
  • Page 21 altered in light of the removal of capacity caps for venues

The Association of Leading Visitor Attractions (ALVA) has created some draft guidance in response which may help in your discussions for a position you are comfortable with.
